Anti Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
1. Policy
Modern Slavery is a crime and a violation of human rights. GLOBAL TRAVEL FINDERS is committed to protecting human rights and prohibit all forms of modern slavery including human trafficking, slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour throughout the organization, it’s business and supply chain. The Anti Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy (“Policy”) demonstrates the Company’s commitment to:
(a) act ethically and with integrity in all its business relationships
(b) ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in its business or supply chain;
(c) ensure the employees are aware of the Company’s commitment to fight against modern slavery ;
(d) outline the measures that the Company will take to prevent any form of modern slavery in its own business and the supply chain of the Company.
(e) ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
2. Application of the Policy
2.1 This policy applies to all officers and directors, employees, workers, contractors, interns, agents, consultants and agency workers and casual workers. (“Employees“)
2.2 We expect the suppliers and contractors of the Company to observe the same high standards as set out in this policy. As part of our contracting process, we include specific prohibitions against modern slavery, and we expect that our suppliers and contractors will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
2.3 This policy is endorsed and fully supported by the Company and its senior management. This policy does not form part of any employee’s contract of employment and the Company reserves all rights to amend the content of the policy at any time.
3. Our Responsibilities and Measures
3.1 Senior management of the Company is responsible for the dissemination and implementation of this policy in the Company.
3.2 The Legal Department is responsible for overall compliance and handling breach allegations.
3.3 The Human Resource Department (“HRD“) will have the primary day-to-day responsibility for the implementation of this policy, monitoring its use and ensuring that the appropriate processes and control systems are in place, and amended as appropriate, to ensure it can operate effectively. The HRD welcomes any questions or comments on this policy and suggestions for ways in which the Company may improve the procedures relating to the eradication of modern slavery in its operations.
3.4 The Company is responsible for providing regular training sessions for all employees on Anti-slavery and human trafficking related issues. The information on anti-slavery and human trafficking is also included in the induction program. We aim to ensure all employees of the Company to be made aware of the provisions of the policy.
4. Policy Violations
4.1 This Policy applies to all Employees and their compliance is mandatory. All Employees are required to carefully read and understand the Policy upon their employment. All breaches of this Policy will be taken very seriously and all allegations of breach will be thoroughly investigated by the Human Resources Department confidentially and fairly.
4.2 The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains is the responsibility of all those working for us or under our control. The Employees are required to avoid any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.
4.3 Employees should contact the Human Resources Department as soon as possible shall he/she wish to raise an allegation of a breach under the policy. Any allegations made in good faith will be fully supported by the Company with all appropriate measures and investigation being taken out, regardless of the conclusion of the allegation and the subjective view of any senior management. There will never by any reprisals against Employees who raise allegations of a breach of the Policy. Nevertheless, allegations or attempts to make allegations in bad faith, for whatever reasons, will be classified as misconduct and may lead to dismissal upon the discretion of the Company.
4.4 If the Employee is not certain whether an incident or series of incidents, the treatment of workers more generally, or their working conditions within any tier of our supply chains constitutes any of the various forms of modern slavery, contact the immediate supervisor or the HR Department for advice.
4.5 In the event of a breach of this policy, the Company shall put in place remedial action as soon as reasonably practical with a view to ensuring that such modern slavery ceases to occur and that the victims of that modern slavery are appropriately safeguarded
4.6 Any Employee who breached this Policy will be subject to disciplinary depending on the severity of the breach. The Company reserves all right to dismiss Employees without notice and with no payment in lieu of that notice shall the breach is so severe that amounts to gross misconduct according to the discretion of the Company’s senior management.
4.7 In the event that the Company has a reasonable belief that modern slavery is occurring in the business or supply chains of any contractors, suppliers and other business partners, the Company may, depending on the facts and the terms of the contract with the relevant contractor, supplier or another business partner, terminate or suspend the relationship or otherwise cease, reduce or minimise business contact with the relevant contractor, supplier or business partner.
